Can I display my slates outside?
Yes, you can display slates outdoors in all types of weather and climates.

How are the slates made?
Each piece is hand-shaped in the studio using replicas of old slate tools.

What is the background color of the slates?
The background color of each slate is naturally occurring.  Vermont has the widest range of slate colors in the world.

How much care do I have to show in handling the slates?
If you drop the slates, they may break.

What do I use to hang the slates?
Only stainless steel or copper wire is used as a hanger.  The hanger on your slate will not rust, rot, corrode, or break.

What kind of slate do you use?
I use only newly quarried slate.

Do you use toxic or dangerous paints?
All my paints and pigments are environmentally friendly.

How do I hang and care for the slates?
Hanging and care instructions are included with each slate.
